        How to play

        1. Pick a clue. Whoever has control picks a category and a value. Bigger values are harder. A random player picks first; after that, whoever answered the last clue right picks.
        2. Read, then buzz. Buzzers stay locked while the clue is read. When you see BUZZERS OPEN (and hear the chime), press Space or the big BUZZ button. Buzz too early and you are locked out for a quarter second.
        3. Answer. First to buzz answers: press 1–4 for a choice (14 seconds), or type the word and press Enter (30 seconds). Small spelling slips are OK; symbols and numbers must be exact.
        4. Score. Right: you get the value and pick next. Wrong or out of time: you lose the value, and everyone else gets one more chance to buzz.
        5. Win. When the board is empty, the highest score wins.
        6. Ranked. Sign in, and you are matched with players near your rating. Beating higher-rated players raises your rating a lot; beating lower-rated players, only a little. The winner earns Lab Tokens. Leaving, dropping out or not touching anything for 4 clues in a row counts as last place. After 10 ranked games you can appear on the leaderboard.
