How to use the bench (mouse, touch, or keyboard)
- Zoom: drag the zoom slider, scroll over the picture, pinch on a touch screen, or press Z / X. Zooming in on the gas cell (or the flasks) opens a lens into the gas, down to the molecules.
- Time: Play runs the bench: the thermostat heats or cools, the screw turns, the flow controller lets gas in, the analyzer samples molecules. Speed goes from ×0.1 (slow motion) to ×5. Bench time is sped up; P, V, n and T are real.
- Step mode: everything waits. Press → (or Next hit) to move the molecules exactly to the next time one hits a wall.
- Look closer: point at (or tap) any instrument or molecule to see what it is. Tap the gauge to switch it between atm and kPa.
- Keys: Space play / pause · → next hit · R reset · Z / X zoom · H help.
