How to use the bench (mouse, touch, or keyboard)
- Zoom: drag the zoom slider, scroll over the picture, pinch on a touch screen, or press Z / X. Zooming in opens a lens into the air (or into the reservoir), down to the molecules.
- Time: Play runs the bench (the chamber, the rising parcel, the reservoir years, the front). Speed goes from ×0.1 (slow motion) to ×5. Bench time is sped up; the numbers are real.
- Step mode: the bench waits. Press → (or Next event) to move exactly one event: one molecule joining or leaving the dew, 0.1 km of ascent, one year, or one hour.
- Look closer: point at (or tap) anything to see what it is.
- Keys: Space play / pause · → next event · R reset · Z / X zoom · H help.
