How to use the bench (mouse, touch, or keyboard)
- Stations: Lab 1 has a Digest and a Gel station (buttons above the picture); Explore has all four.
- Zoom: drag the zoom slider, scroll over the picture, pinch on a touch screen, or press Z / X. The zoom goes from the bench, to a close-up, to the molecules.
- Time: Play runs the station’s clock (digest incubation, gel run, thermocycler). Speed goes from ×0.1 (slow motion) to ×5.
- Step mode: press → (or Next step) for one event at a time: one cut, one minute of gel run, one PCR stage, or one docking beat.
- Look closer: point at (or tap) a band, tube, reagent or plasmid feature to see what it is. Tap a band in the gel close-up to measure it.
- Keys: Space play / pause · → step · R reset · Z / X zoom · H help.
