Speed

How to use the bench (mouse, touch, or keyboard)
- Zoom: drag the zoom slider, scroll over the picture, pinch on a touch screen, or press Z / X. Zooming in on the sample opens a lens down to its particles.
- Time: Play runs the bench (heating, cooling, mixing, conduction). Speed goes from ×0.1 (slow motion) to ×5. Bench time is sped up; temperatures, joules and watts are real.
- Step mode: the bench waits. Press → (or Next packet) to move exactly one energy packet: 200 J through the heater or from hot to cold, or 20 J through a wall or rod.
- Look closer: point at (or tap) any equipment or particle to see what it is.
- Keys: Space play / pause · → next packet · R reset · Z / X zoom · H help.
